LASERTRON Manufacturing was recently asked to provide laser tag equipment for an upcoming episode featuring a birthday party.

LASERTRON staff coordinated use of equipment through an existing laser tag operator, XP LaserSport of Laurel, MD. Marc and Lisa Mueller, owners of XP LaserSport drove 22 LASERTRON laser tag vests to New York City for the day of filming.

The filming took place at a park in Queens, NY in early October. The episode featuring the laser tag gear should be shown in late January to early February. Cashmere Mafia is a mid-season replacement show for ABC. Due to the current writers' strike, release of the show was delayed until January.
According to ABC, Cashmere Mafia is a drama about the lives of four successful women working in New York city. The women met during business school and band together to create their own "boys club" for support in their professional and personal lives. The show stars:
- emmy-nominated Lucy Lui, stars Lucy Liu of Ally McBeal & Charlie’s Angels fame as Mia
- Frances O’Connor known for A.I. - Artificial Intelligence and Mansfield Park as Zoe
- Miranda Otto seen as Eowyn in Lord of the Rings trilogy and in The Starter Wife as Juliet
- Bonnie Somerville seen on NYPD Blue and The O.C. as Caitlin.
Darren Star, creator of Sex in the City, is the driving force behind the show. The show is produced and shot in the New York City area.
The ABC series is scheduled to premiere January 6, 2007, at 10pm eastern time before moving to its scheduled time slot on Monday at 10pm.
On day three a section for Operators and Developers was attended by several LASERTRON developers. The Business Plan and Financial Statement Review was a thorough overview of the importance of a well planned and comprehensive business plan. A detailed review of a financial spreadsheet also showed developers the realistic numbers that a laser tag entertainment center can expect to see.
